LATEST & GREATEST: NEW REVIEWS, HOT PREVIEWS & CLASSIC GAMES

SUPERMAN RETURNS: THE VIDEOGAME
Whilst many fans were dying for Superman's theatrical return, gamers are still bitter about his Nintendo 64 adventure and thus the idea of him returning to our market is a bit frightening.

EA promised to do a better job, but that isn't hard considering their challenge. Have they redeemed the man of steel with Superman Returns or simply confirmed that any Superman game supersucks? Swoop this way to find out!

JAWS UNLEASHED
Show me the road to go home...
I'm tired and I want to go to bed...
I had a little drink about an hour ago
And it's gone straight to my head...

Hang on, wa' wash that noishe? Oh crap, ish tha' giant killer shark, quick get the harpoon! Damn, I can hardly shee shtraight, I shouldn't have had that shecond bottle of whishky! BUMP - CRASH - SPLASH - AAARRRRGHH! Dear God, the pain!
Yes, you are the shark and, yes, you eat people!

ERAGON
The big-budget holiday film isn't out until next month, but Stormfront Studios is most definitely on the case with more of what they do best.

Here's a fantasy-themed hack and slash for fans of Chris Paolini's popular best-selling book. With much bigger levels than their other games and some unusual cinematic sequences, just how does the Eragon hold up? Well, you ll only have to click away to satiate that curiosity...

TIGER WOODS PGA TOUR 07
Tiger Tiger Woods Y'all - a phrase immortalised by Chris Rock in Down to Earth, and I can't help but use it here... why? Well, because it's a Tiger Woods game. Duh!

You may have Tiger Woods 2006 on your Xbox and you might have 2005 - hell, you may be a real collector and have 2004 and MAYBE even 2003 - but do you have 07? Do you need it? Do you even care, or are you getting it so you don't break the continuity? Don't be a victim of pack-rat collector syndrome, break the habit! Unless, of course, the game is really great... find out here!

JUSTICE LEAGUE HEROES
If cooking is an art and baking a science, what the heck is game making? Anyway, time for a clumsy segue, because that's what I do best: take a group of classic (but underrepresented in gaming) comic book characters, an award-winning comics writer, a developer known for its heavily copied role-playing game engine, mix well and pour into a hot DVD press.

Is it gaming bliss or a match made in h-e double hockey sticks? Well, wait no longer, dear reader - step on inside and read all about this super superhero adventure.

SCARFACE: THE WORLD IS YOURS
The new craze in gaming these days, after Vietnam, seems to be reviving old movie franchises into videos games. Reservoir Dogs, The Godfather, and now Scarface with Scarface: The World Is Yours.

In what seems to be a rehash of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Scarface doesn't seem to offer much worth checking out for people who aren't fans of the movie. But that may just be the kind of thinking that will cause you to miss a great gaming opportunity...

DESTROY ALL HUMANS! 2
The American President is an alien. In the midst of the Cold War, the KGB have uncovered a global conspiracy involving a particularly nasty alien race called the Furons.

Crypto is a bad-ass, foul mouthed, no good son of a gun anti-hero, and he's great fun. As Crypto you must, you guessed it, destroy all humans! At the same time you must foil a plot by the KGB and try to score yourself a woman. In the era of the swinging Sixties, It's time to teach the monkeys a lesson - it's time to make war, not love!

MORTAL KOMBAT: ARMAGEDDON
This is the umpteenth incarnation of Mortal Kombat and as the title suggests will wave goodbye to the series, at least on current format. But what does that mean for the franchise? And what tricks have Midway pulled out of their sleeve this time?

This is easily the most comprehensive MK we've seen - with over 60 playable characters and an overhauled Konquest mode, this really should be the best MK ever. But is it? Read on to find out...

THE LEGEND OF SPYRO: A NEW BEGINNING
Generally, when a game character is reinvented for a new generation of players, he or she ends up focus tested into 'attitude' oblivion with a 'hip' look and hip-hop soundtrack to match - ugh. Fortunately, the folks at Krome Studios and Sierra have taken a more classic approach to one of the stars of the PSOne and the results are quite impressive indeed.

How does the new Spyro stack up against the old one? Quite differently in a few respects. Step inside to see which direction our review arrow is pointed.

DREAMFALL: THE LONGEST JOURNEY
Usually we like to tease you with this bit of text, entice you inside for the full verdict on the latest games. I'm not going to do that, though. What I am going to do is tell you that Dreamfall is like nothing you've experienced before (even more so if you're not a PC gamer) and it simply demands to be played.

However, there are certain types of gamers that probably won't be as enthralled with this magnificent adventure as everyone else, so to find out exactly why Dreamfall is so amazing and just who it's for, come on inside. Oh, I guess I did tease you after all!
