LATEST & GREATEST: NEW REVIEWS, HOT PREVIEWS & CLASSIC GAMES

SINGSTAR QUEEN
The karaoke juggernaut known as SingStar is back, and this time it's brought legendary rock band Queen along for the ride.

An alternative to last year's Christmas classic SingStar ABBA, there are few bands that are so perfectly suited to karaoke as the Bohemian Rhapsody hit makers. The track list is as solid as it ever has been, but does the fact that most of the songs featured have been available for download for months make the game obsolete?

SNK ARCADE CLASSICS VOL. 1
Fatal Fury, Magician Lord, The King of Fighters, Metal Slug, World Heroes and Samurai Shodown. For a budget price, that lot sure sounds like the makings of an appealing package.

Predictably, SNK disagree, but counter-intuitively, they insist you take those six retro games and ten more for the same tiny price. An excellent selection of classic shooters and fighters, then, with a dash of platforming and a touch of sporting action, all fully customisable and faithfully recreated, mean that the first volume of SNK Playmore's Arcade collection makes for a value-added impulse buy.

NARUTO: ULTIMATE NINJA 3
He's back! Naruto returns to the PS2 once again, for probably the final time, in this latest instalment of the Ultimate Ninja series.

Based upon the popular anime series, you can be sure that a host of wacky characters, some gorgeously rendered cartoon style graphics and plenty of frantic beat 'em up action are all present - but just how well has the game captured the storylines and ethos of the series, and is the combat system any good? Click below to find out... come on, chop chop!

WORLD HEROES ANTHOLOGY
The World Heroes Anthology? What? How can there be an anthology of a series that I've never even heard of?

If you're asking yourself the above question then there's no need to read any further, because this retro slice of 2D beat 'em up action is really only for the hardcore - and even they would be better served by one of the many other collections of fighting games that are readily available on PS2. Still, World Heroes isn't entirely without merit, so read on if you want to find out what it has going for it and why it can't quite measure up to the competition...

SINGSTAR BOYBANDS VS GIRLBANDS
Another month and what feels like the millionth SingStar game on PS2 is on the way again. This time around the set list features the best tracks from the most famous girlbands and boybands on the planet - and while most will be worried at the thought of so much pop, you'll be surprised at how many lyrics you remember.

Is this one of the better set lists for the ever popular karaoke franchise or is this a bump along the road to music world domination?

FATAL FURY: BATTLE ARCHIVES VOLUME 1
If you can take no more of Ken and you're cold at the thought of one more fight playing as Sub Zero then we might have just what you're looking for - Fatal Fury is back, in this first collection of the fondly remembered fighting saga.

While never gaining as much acclaim as Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, Fatal Fury nevertheless had plenty to offer to fighting game fans - the question is, does it still pack the same punch? Hit the link below to find out...

SINGSTAR SINGALONG WITH DISNEY
SingStar Disney may sound like it's only for kids, but you'll be surprised at how many classic you remember; ranging from the likes of Winnie The Pooh to The Little Mermaid, there's a Disney movie in here for everyone.

However, there are only twenty tracks on offer, making this one of the smallest track lists yet seen in a SingStar game - does this hold the game back from being Disney karaoke perfection?

YAKUZA 2
A year after the arduous fight for leadership of the notorious Tojo clan, Kiryu Kazuma is back to make sure that Japan doesn't descend into total gang war.

Bringing what might just be the last big action game to the PS2, has SEGA provided a fitting final hurrah or will it turn out to be a limp finish? Read on to find out...

SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI: PERSONA 3 FES PREVIEW
A new PS2 game?

Yes, another RPG is coming to PS2 in October, one that a small amount of people will have enjoyed back when it was first released in February. Persona 3 FES is more than an expansion pack though, featuring a revised version of the original and over thirty hours of new content, this could well be one of the biggest JRPGs ever. We take a look at what's in store for role-playing fans later this year.
