Wrath of the Lich King Cinematic Trailer

Blizzard do make awesome cinematics, it has to be said. WoTLK could finally break the stupor I've been in for the last few months and spur me off Level 50 onto greater things. Or it might just annoy me some more and make me wish everyone in the world would be quiet for ever. Who knows?

Tomb Raider: Underworld first gameplay trailer

Wow, looks like Tomb Raider, but with weird bandy legs. Nothing new, nothing particularly exciting, just some pretties. And quite why video games still insist on copying cinematic cliche in every advertising games is beyond me. About time we outgrew our cousins in Hollywood isn't it?

Rage Against the Dying of the Light

Rage, silly name, amazing pedigree. If anyone is allowed to reinvent the FPS, then I'm pretty sure it's id. After all, they invented it in the first place. Set phasers to excited.

First Skate 2 Trailer

Looks like Skate, and Skate was awesome fun, so that's not really a bad thing. If sequels to games in the past are anything to go by, then expect this game to have more of some things, less of others and some tweaks. The end.

Warhammer Online dated

To finish off this triumvirate of PC news titbits, it's been announced that Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning will be released in North America, Europe and Oceania on September the 18th. A move that will set it in direct competition with the latest expansion pack for the all conquering beast that is commonly known as WoW. Brave choice or foolhardy waste?

Only time will tell. Time and whether or not people buy it. The game certainly looks like the biggest threat to WoW's soon to be ice covered throne, but looks are often deceiving in the cut throat world of MMORPGs. Subscription prices are set around the $13 mark, with other territories not yet knowing how much they'll have to fork out a month for some of that sweet dwarf bashing action.

That'll be the trailer for the new LoTR online expansion the mines of Moria then. I believe the phrase is "we're going deeper underground".

Shock! GTA 4 headed to PC

Of course, by shock I mean not shock. GTA 4, heralded, lauded console God is heading straight towards the PC. This isn't really news, but then, we're in the post E3 lull and there isn't really any news at all. Expect GTA 4 to be landing on the 18th of November in the US and the 21st of the same month in Europe. Presumably so they can translate it.
