360 price cut in the UK
Massive price slashes a go-go, as the Xbox 360, in all its many iterations, is to receive a hefty cut in the UK as of this coming friday. From then on you'll be able to pick up a hard drive-less 360 for £129.99, which, let's be honest here, is staggeringly cheap. The Elite will retail for £229 and the common or garden 60gig will be going for £170.
Cheap as the proverbial potato snack. It won't help Microsoft gain any ground on the all conquering, family friendly, arm waving phenom that is the Nintendo Wii, but puts them in a decent position to stave off an attack from the resurgent PS3. Even with the god forsaken credit crunch chomping at out heels, it's certainly a good time to be a gamer. Or to start being a gamer. Or something like that.
