Codemasters Announces GRID!

CODEMASTERS SHIFTS RACING INTO HIGH GEAR WITH GRID

GRID™ Confirmed as Official Title for Next Evolution of
Codemasters' Popular Race Driver™ Series

Burbank, CA - Thursday, November 29, 2007 - Codemasters® today announced GRID™ as the full and official name for the game formerly introduced under the working title Race Driver One. An all-new racing experience from Codemasters Studios, creators of the DiRT™ and Race Driver™ series, GRID is due out in mid 2008 and will deliver a step-change in the racing genre.

"GRID is all about the race," said Gavin Raeburn, Executive Producer, Codemasters Studios. "The next iteration of our DiRT engine combined with a decade of experience in developing driving games enables us to put players at the center of the action like never before. Damage, packed grids, intelligent opposition and unprecedented race day atmosphere will combine to deliver an experience like no other."

GRID takes players to dramatic and beautifully realized race locations over three continents to compete in an unprecedented variety of racing events. Packed with the most powerful race cars - new and classic, circuit and drift - players will compete to conquer the most prestigious official race tracks and championships then beyond to compete in challenging city-based competitions, and then on through to road events and urban street races.

"GRID is set to capture every single racing moment, right from the starting grid to the checkered flag, and concentrates these moments into an intense and dramatic race experience," said Ralph Fulton, Chief Game Designer, Codemasters Studios. "The drama, the rivalries, the aggression and the crashes; this is not a game about collecting cars or spending all of your time in the front-end tuning suspension settings or designing liveries. We want to make racing exciting again."

Gamers will compete on Europe's greatest official race tracks in prestige Marques including Aston Martin, Koenigsegg and Pagani. Iconic cities across the U.S, including San Francisco, Washington DC and Detroit - each with their own atmosphere and events - will play host to diverse street races, where high-performance V8 muscle cars set the pace in aggressive, closely fought pack competitions. And in the Far East, Japanese racing culture sets the tone where night races, including Drift racing, takes drivers through neon illuminated cities and to outlying mountain roads. There's also the opportunity to compete in races that operate on the fringes of legality in the back streets and industrial areas of Yokohama.

GRID is being developed for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®, the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Games for Windows®, and is currently rated "RP" (Rating Pending) by the ESRB. To register for future driver briefings and get a place on the grid, be sure to visit www.codemasters.com/grid.

Puchi Puchi Virus™ Announced for the Nintendo DS™!

Puchi Puchi Virus™ Announced for the Nintendo DS™!

Santa Ana, CA – NIS America announces its first puzzle game, Puchi Puchi Virus™ for the Nintendo DS™. Puchi Puchi Virus™ will be localized by a new team within NIS America to fulfill an emerging group of gamers.
“Our core audience will remain the same, but we will also appeal to the information rich yet time poor casual gamers with unique and distinctive titles.” says Haru Akenaga, president of NIS America.

About Puchi Puchi Virus™

Puchi Puchi Virus™ does not resemble the ordinary puzzle game. The usual “object drop” style was replaced with a more intuitive system of “object linkage”. Its simple design and surprisingly in-depth game play can addict even the most demanding puzzle game enthusiasts.

The object is to form at least a single triangle formation by linking viruses together and erasing them from the screen. Victory conditions vary from mission to mission, but erasing all of the viruses will be the fundamental rule of this game. Erase all the viruses and you win, but if the screen gets filled with the emerging viruses you lose. Note: there is a twist to this system that gives depth to the game play. Viruses turn to stone if left alone for a while, which cannot be selected to form a triangle. However, these stones can be erased if they are within a triangle that you create. With a little luck and practice players can rake in massive points by letting the viruses turn to stones and erasing them all at once.

RELEASE DATE: February 2008
PLATFORM: Nintendo DS™
GENRE: Puzzle
PLAYER(S): 2

. Brag for a minute: Online end of match screens now show gamerpics instead of Bomberman heads. There's also a timer of 60 seconds for the winner to brag.

Sony Online Entertainment Simultaneously Launches Expansions for Two of Its Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games

Sony Online Entertainment Simultaneously Launches Expansions for Two of Its Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games
EverQuest® and EverQuest® II

EverQuest Secrets of Faydwer™ and EverQuest II Rise of Kunark™ Available Today

SAN DIEGO, CA – November 13, 2007 – Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE) announces today that both EverQuest® and EverQuest® II MMORPGs have brand new expansion packs set to go on sale today throughout North America. EverQuest Secrets of Faydwer™ and EverQuest II Rise of Kunark™ are complete and inclusive including all previous expansions and relevant adventure packs in each, for a suggested retail price of $39.99 at participating retail stores and via digital download at www.station.com.

“Launching dual expansions of this magnitude for two major MMOs on the same day is a Herculean feat,” said Russ Shanks, COO and Vice President, Sony Online Entertainment. “It took a full year, dedicated development teams and the experienced infrastructure of SOE to be able to support these simultaneous launches. We’re extremely proud of the breadth of the new adventures these two games offer and we’re also grateful for the support from our beta testers and loyal community for their input on the final products.”

EverQuest II Rise of Kunark brings back the legendary high-fantasy game play style from its famous predecessor and blends it with the beautiful cinematic graphics for which the game has become known. “This is a return to nostalgia expansion -- where players will enjoy the best game experience in EQII’s three year history and likely the most compelling content the franchise has ever seen,” according to Scott Hartsman, Sr. Producer, Sony Online Entertainment.

Rise of Kunark introduces players to the Sarnak, a new dragon-like humanoid playable race that inhabits the jungle islands of Timorous Deep - a new starting location for adventurers featuring a wealth of new content for levels 1-20. Many of the expansion’s new zones are based on favorite gameplay areas from the original EverQuest, such as Karnor’s Castle, the Lake of Ill Omen, Sebilis and Veeshan’s Peak. In addition, Kunark raises the level cap to 80, adding new solo, group, and raid content for levels 65-80.

EverQuest Secrets of Faydwer is the fourteenth expansion for this genre-defining game. “We put a renewed emphasis on the test and adjust period for Secrets of Faydwer and increased the number of our Beta testers by 25 percent,” said Clint Worley, Sr. Producer, Sony Online Entertainment. “The feedback we received from the players was outstanding and it raised the quality bar exponentially.”

Secrets of Faydwer players will have the opportunity to advance to level 80 as they explore through 15 new zones, discovering thousands of new items along the way. In addition to the new high level raid content, there are new Alternate Advancement ability lines to refresh even the most hardened warriors.

Both retail and digital customers will receive several items with their purchase. Rise of Kunark consumers receive the base EQII game, the Rise of Kunark expansion, all three previous expansions and adventure packs, a claimable cockatrice house pet and a Legends of Norrath online strategy game starter pack, booster pack and loot item. Secrets of Faydwer consumers will receive the base EverQuest game and all 14 expansions, a claimable worg mount and a Legends of Norrath online strategy game starter pack, booster pack and loot item.

www.telltalegames.com

SAN RAFAEL, CA, November 8, 2007 – What do a straight-laced dog in a baggy suit, a gun-toting rabbity-thing, and Santa Claus have in common? The future of Christmas hangs in the balance like a hand grenade perched on the shaky bough of a Douglas fir, and it's up to Sam & Max to set things straight.

"Today's release highlights a number of firsts for episodic gaming," says Telltale's CEO Dan Connors. "Sam & Max is the first episodic series to enter a second season, and 'Ice Station Santa' is the first holiday special for a game series. The playing experience is new, too. EVERQUEST® FRANCHISE ONLINE STRATEGY GAME -- LEGENDS OF NORRATH" STACKS THE DECK WITH ITS FIRST EXPANSION ANNOUNCEMENT

EVERQUEST® FRANCHISE ONLINE STRATEGY GAME -- LEGENDS OF NORRATH™ STACKS THE DECK WITH ITS FIRST EXPANSION ANNOUNCEMENT

Additionally, SOE Announces the First Championship Series to Start Later This Year

DENVER, CO – November 8, 2007 – Just three months after the highly successful inaugural launch of the online trading card game Legends of Norrath (LoN), Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE) announces that Forsworn, the first expansion for the online strategy game, is currently in development. Based on legendary MMOs EverQuest® and EverQuest® II, Forsworn is scheduled to launch Tuesday, December 18, 2007. LoN Oathbound was released late this past summer and has already hosted more than 300,000 matches to date.

“The instant success of the game’s first set, Oathbound, led to the decision to release Forsworn before the end of this year. Forsworn will continue to provide players with high-quality gameplay and a rich storyline that enhances a compelling stand-alone game or the already seamless experience from within the worlds of EverQuest and EverQuest II,” said Scott Martins, Director of Development, SOE. “Forsworn expands the Legends of Norrath experience with something for everyone. We’re particularly excited about kicking off the Legends of Norrath Championship Series in early December. With a total prize pool in excess of $100,000, this series adds another viable element of competitive play to the game.”

Developed at SOE’s Denver, CO studio, Legends of Norrath is the first online trading card game based on and playable from within SOE’s popular franchises EverQuest (EQ) and EverQuest II (EQII), as well as from a free stand-alone client. Launching from a menu within either MMO or using a free SOE Station ID (available at www.station.com) in the stand-alone client, players can challenge opponents on their game server and across other EQ and EQII servers.

Forsworn, the second release in the Legends of Norrath storyline, features enhanced multiplayer support that allows team-based 2 vs. 2 games, as well as cooperative multiplayer “raid” games against powerful AI opponents. Forsworn introduces 235 new, artistically stunning game cards, with new gameplay and multiplayer options, as well as an updated client with new content and bonus features for all registered users. Forsworn also boasts 22 additional loot items each for EQ and EQII, including player mounts, potions, clothing and spells.

Available in both 58-card digital starter decks and 15-card digital booster packs, Forsworn cards will be available via digital download from SOE’s Station Store. The digital starter decks (58 cards) will be available for $9.99 (plus any applicable taxes), with digital booster packs (15 cards) selling for $2.99 (plus any applicable taxes).

In addition to AI opponents and player vs. player combat, Legends of Norrath is the complete online card gaming experience, featuring numerous Casual and Tournament game lobbies with three exciting tournament formats in which to compete. Tournaments range from smaller on-demand tournaments all the way up to the Legends of Norrath Championship Series events, with a total prize pool in excess of $100,000 USD.

Legends of Norrath Championship Series

Starting in December Legends of Norrath players can truly test their strategic skills and throw down in the Legends of Norrath Championship Qualifier tournaments. Running monthly, each of these events will have no entry fee and will feature a prize pool of approximately $5,000 USD. Winners of these monthly qualifier events will receive an automatic entry into the Legends of Norrath Championships at Gen Con Indy 2008 in Indianapolis, IN where they will compete for cash and prizes in excess of $100,000 USD.

On Demand Tournaments

Starting November 17th, Legends of Norrath players can also start their own tournaments or enter other player-initiated tournaments 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. These 8-player events feature a variety of play formats including Constructed Deck and Booster Draft formats. In Booster Draft, players can open several packs of cards and only play with the cards drafted for their deck– a pure test of calculated skill! Scheduled tournaments for larger numbers of players are set to run each week so that players can compete in tournaments with several hundred players at a time.

Loot Tournaments

Monthly loot tournaments pit individual player skill against each other as they compete for promotional cards, sealed packs and loot to be used in EQ and EQII. Just for entering, players will receive a special loot and promo card that can only be obtained through such Loot Tournament events. Players who place well can win additional prizes such as packs, promotional cards and/or loot.

To get started on the fun, players can download the cilent for free, test their skills against AI and real opponents, and then head over to the tournament lobby to play. Tournament eligibility limited and subject to official rules. Residents of certain territories are ineligible to participate in LoN tournament play. Please see the EULA for details. For a schedule of events, rules and further details see the LoN Events Page or the LoN Tournaments webpage . Unlockable Omega Five Character Revealed

HUDSON ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES AN UNLOCKABLE CHARACTER FOR OMEGA FIVE

XBOX LIVE® ARCADE

Sensei—Master of the Katana—Needs No Guns to Defeat foes!

Sensei is the wisest member of Omega Five’s group of heroes, and as an unlockable character, one of the more difficult to find.

A master of the katana, Sensei needs no guns. He brings with him another of the galaxy’s best warriors, his dog “Rikimaru”, to

Help him defeat foes.

Primary Attack – Sensei’s most trusted weapon is his katana. His main attack is always with this sword and any weapon upgrades he picks up not only increase his sword’s range, but also change his alternate attacks. Sensei’s weapon mastery allows him to use his sword to destroy some enemy fire and even perform a spin attack that damages surrounding enemies.

Alternate Attack - Rikimaru plays a key role in his alternate attacks, as the dog leaps from Sensei’s feet to place targets on enemies. Once targeted, Sensei locks onto enemies and throws deadly projectiles at them.

Weapon Type A: Bomb –Sensei hurls bombs that explode into blazing fireballs.

Weapon Type B: Throwing Knives – Sensei peppers enemies with throwing knives.

Weapon Type C: Shuriken – Sensei unleashes a barrage of shuriken at enemies.

Dimensional Field – Like the other characters, Sensei can quickly teleport to another dimension for a brief time, allowing him to avoid enemy attacks, though at the expense of a small amount of life. However, when Sensei uses the field, he also inflicts damage on enemies caught in the dimensional shockwave.

Ultimate Burst – All characters can unleash an enormously destructive nuke-like attack, after having collected at least 100 p-chips (the pink triangles that appear after defeating enemies) to fill one p-jail (the golden triangles at the bottom left of the screen).

New Details Regarding Bubble Bobble for the DS!

Bubbles Bubbles Bubbles!

In Bubble Bobble Double Shot for Nintendo DS it is all about the bubbles

From Ignition Entertainment---All was quiet in the Rainbow Islands, so Bub and Bob went to visit their cousin Bubu. With nothing to do, they decided to explore their grandfather's house. There, the trio finds a secret and mysterious treasure map. Taking directions from the map,

Bub, Bob and Bubu set off on a perilous quest to find out what the treasure is! As Bub, Bob and Bubu go on their quest they run into enemies along the way and have to capture and knock out all of the enemies wandering around the stage. How? By capturing the enemies in bubbles and then bursting them. Below is a look at how some of the different bubbles in Bubble Bobble Double Shot work!

Star Bubbles

Star bubbles appear around the levels of Bubble Bobble Double Shot. They have magical powers that our heroes can use to gain the advantage! If you burst a Star bubble normally, it will cause all of the bubbles currently in play to burst - even those with trapped enemies inside! You can add a color to the Star bubble simply by blowing another bubble at it. When this newly colored bubble is burst all Color enemies will change to the selected color! This will make it easier to get rid of them all without having to change your character.

Elemental Bubbles:

Elemental bubbles have special effects when you burst them. They're usually a lot of help when it comes to dealing with enemies and leave behind high-value bonus items! Elemental bubbles are made up of water, fire and thunder and create a lot of havoc for the enemies!

Extend Bubbles

The EXTEND bubbles are very mysterious, but collecting all the letters will grant you an extra life! To make EXTEND letters, a Star bubble must have two colors added to it. This is done by blowing a bubble at it, changing character and then blowing another bubble to change the color of the Star bubble twice. Different combinations of colors result in different letters. Experiment to find out which ones produce which letters!

Jumping with bubbles:

Any bubble can be used as a platform. Simply press the B Button to jump towards a balloon and keep the button held down. If you land on top of a bubble, you will keep bouncing on it until either you release the B Button or the bubble bursts.

Microsoft, PTA and Super Bowl Champion Jerry Rice Announce New Tools to Help Parents Manage Kids’ Interactive Media Use

Xbox 360 Debuts Video Game Industry’s First and Only “Family Timer.”

Washington, D.C. — Nov. 7, 2007 — Microsoft Corp., The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and Super Bowl Champion Jerry Rice joined forces today to unveil new parent tools as part of the second year of the “Safety is no game. Is your family set?” campaign. They include a “PACT,” a family contract intended to foster family discussion surrounding screen time guidelines, as well as a new parental control feature, the Xbox 360 Family Timer. The Family Timer will enable parents for the first time to set the appropriate amount of gaming and entertainment time for their kids, on a daily or weekly basis.

“As a leader in interactive entertainment, it’s Microsoft’s responsibility to provide parents with tools they can use to manage their children’s video gaming and online experiences, and we have made that a priority from the very start,” said Robbie Bach, president of Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft.

Through this all-new educational partnership, millions of PTA members nationwide will receive information on the fundamentals of the campaign, which encourages a balanced approach to interactive media use and families to come to an agreement on how their children spend their screen time.

“As times change and technology advances, the role of the parent stays the same in raising a safe, healthy, and successful child,” said PTA CEO Warlene Gary. “PTA is proud to partner with Microsoft to provide parents with more resources that keep them involved in their children’s lives. Using the PACT will help parents and children talk about and agree on interactive media use.”

The family PACT is a comprehensive, proactive approach to setting rules on media use and asks parents and children to agree on the level of Parental involvement; the amount of Access children can have, including who they are allowed to play and interact with online; the types of Content children are allowed to play or watch, and the amount of Time children can use media. The family PACT is available for immediate download at http://www.xbox.com/isyourfamilyset..

Another all-new parental tool unveiled today is the Xbox 360 Family Timer, an addition to the console’s existing set of industry-leading parental control features. Similar to its Windows Vista counterpart, the new Xbox 360 Family Timer can restrict children’s activity time and can be set on a per-day or per-week basis. Helpful “notifications” will appear to warn the gamer that the session is nearing the end and the feature will automatically turn off the console when a pre-determined time limit has been exceeded. The Family Timer feature will be available for download via Xbox LIVE in early December.

Microsoft expects the news of the Family Timer to be received very favorably by parents based on independent* research it unveiled today that showed 62 percent of parents would welcome a tool to control the amount of time that children can use the video game consoles in their homes.

Bach, along with PTA CEO Warlene Gary and Super Bowl Champion and “Dancing with the Stars” finalist Jerry Rice talked to more than 400 students and parents gathered at Stuart-Hobson Middle School in Washington, D.C. today about the benefits of being a kid in the digital age and the challenges parents can face in navigating this complex new world.

The independent research sponsored by Microsoft released today asked parents a series of questions related to their children’s use of digital media and represented feedback from 800 parents of children between the ages of five and 17 who have a video game console in their home. The research showed that 45 percent of parents say that enforcing rules about their children’s media consumption creates tension at home. Nearly all families (99 percent) have some rules, but less than half (47 percent) have comprehensive rules concerning access, content and time. The research revealed that only 16 percent of families actually put media use rules in writing, and 40 percent involve children in related discussions.

Rice spoke to the middle school crowd about how important it is to have balance to be successful. “I’m a Super Bowl Champion and ‘Dancing with the Stars’ finalist, but my most important accomplishment in life is being a father,” Rice said. “I try to teach my kids no matter what they do, they have to find a balance between work and fun. That’s why it’s so rewarding for me to join Microsoft and the PTA today to promote a healthy balance for our kids in this exciting digital age.”

Microsoft’s commitment to families is ongoing

Xbox was the first video game and entertainment system with built-in parental controls for both online and offline use. Known as Family Settings, these controls allow parents and caregivers to set guidelines for which games work for them, make informed choices about content, and decide who their children can play with online. Earlier this year, Windows Vista launched with a set of similar parental controls that allows parents to guide children's game playing, web browsing, and overall computer use. These controls help parents determine which games their children can play, which programs they can use, which websites they can visit—and when.

“We’ve seen a tremendous response to the robust parental controls offered on Xbox 360 and Windows Vista, and the Xbox 360 Family Timer will continue to deliver on our promise to provide safer, balanced and fun entertainment for everyone,” said Bach. “Professionally, I am proud of my division’s work in this area, and personally, as a parent of three school-age children, I know how important it is to be engaged in an ongoing dialogue with my family in order to uphold our household screen time rules.”

According to Bach, with more than 13 million Xbox 360® consoles sold, the company’s drive to empower parents is a core Microsoft responsibility. Last fall, the company launched the “Safety is no game. Is your family set?” national grassroots campaign (http://www.xbox.com/isyourfamilyset) with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Best Buy Co. Inc. to educate parents about the tools and resources available to help them manage their children’s interactive entertainment experiences on both Xbox 360 and Windows Vista. Year two of the campaign will continue with the support of these partners and others such as the PTA.

SEGA® of America, Inc. today announced that NiGHTS™: Journey of Dreams for the Wii™ video game console will come complete with a variety of next-gen features that tap into the system’s hardware including “Weather Channel” support, a Wii-first! This feature enables the game’s “My Dream” area, a customizable sand-box environment that allows gamers to capture, raise, and even combine the inhabitants (A-Life) from the world of Nightopia, to generate real-time weather effects specific to the territory players previously registered with on the Wii. For example, if the current weather forecast is clear and sunny in the players’ resident territory, the “My Dream” environment will be clear and sunny as well. The game will also feature an online-enabled two-player mode allowing gamers to race and battle against one another via Wi-Fi connection at launch on December 18, 2007.

Unlike any other game available today, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams will deliver the feeling of flight through the innovative Wii control system. With the help of Persona masks, players will glide, spiral and loop through a variety of mystical dream worlds packed with action and adventure as they dive and blast through rings, gather orbs and come up against fantastic and unforgettable boss battles. Anchored by a storyline about courage, hope and inspiration, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is the most unique and experience on the Wii.

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams unfolds in Nightopia, the spectacular dream world of two young characters, Helen and Will. Struggling to overcome the every day challenges of growing up, these two 12-year-olds find their real life experiences spilling over into their dreams. As Helen and Will fall into a deep sleep, they are greeted by NiGHTS, a fantasy jester, who leads them to explore the rich and vibrant land of Nightopia. Along the way, NiGHTS helps the youngsters bravely face their fears by finding inventive ways to confront, outpace, and outwit foes -- such as the villainous Nightmarens. Through the freedom of flight, execution of stunning acrobatic moves and tapping into special abilities, gamers can overcome obstacles and restore peace to Nightopia.

What is A-LIFE: A-LIFE are creatures living in the world of dreams. There are 3 types of A-LIFE: "Nightopians" who reside in Nightopia, "Nightmarens" from the world of Nightmare, and "Mepians" who are a mix of the two creatures. A-LIFE live freely in the world of Nightopia and they multiply, learn, and evolve as they transform with generational changes.

What is "My Dream": "My Dream" is a customizable "sandbox" environment where players raise their A-LIFE creatures. By using NiGHTS’ ability to para-loop in the single-player game, the A-LIFE creatures can be captured and transferred to a player’s My Dream space. The My Dream world evolves dramatically depending on how the player nurtures the A-LIFE activities and the various objects that the player drops into the environment, creating a truly personal experience.

Codemasters Announces Downloadable Content for Overlord

CODEMASTERS ANNOUNCES
DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT FOR OVERLORD

Company Reveals Plans for One Free and Two Premium Downloadable Content Packs Coming Soon for Overlord™

Burbank, CA - Thursday, November 1, 2007 - Unleashing the wondrously evil Overlord and his army of lethal minions for a fresh round of malicious mayhem, Codemasters today announced the forthcoming release of three downloadable content packs for Overlord™, the summer's hit action/adventure video game from Triumph Studios. The all-new content will be available this November from Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for the Xbox™ 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®, and will be comprised of one free and two premium download packs.

The premium downloadable content is led by Overlord™: Raising Hell, an expansion pack that adds all-new single-player levels to the original game. An additional premium pack, the Overlord™: Challenge Pack will deliver a set of all-new online multiplayer maps. Microsoft Points pricing for the two premium content packs will be confirmed at launch. A further downloadable content update will also be available free of charge, and will add split-screen play to all the original game's multiplayer maps as well as introduce an all-new multiplayer Survival map.

Downloadable Content Details:

Overlord: Raising Hell - Prepare to go deeper into the Overlord's twisted world as this premium, single-player expansion pack opens up a series of hellish new levels. Complete with new enemies and objectives, each level is a supernatural abyss - a hell for each of the game's five kingdoms: Mellow Hills, Evernight, Heaven's Peak, the Golden Halls and the Ruborian Desert.

Access to each abyss is via a portal, which opens once a kingdom has been successfully conquered and the previous ruler banished to a personal hell within. However, it's not just the fallen heroes that have been dragged into the abyss; the Overlord's newly loyal peasants have also been taken down into hell too.

With the undead denizens of each abyss on the attack and threatening the Overlord's reign above ground, there's only one thing to do about it: assemble a minion army, descend into each abyss and embark on a fresh wave of tyranny in order to return the serfs to their homelands, defeat the fallen heroes once and for all, and claim the throne of each kingdom's underworld.

Overlord: Challenge Pack - This additional premium content pack is ideal for Overlords who really have something to prove. There's pillaging fun with seven new online multiplayer maps, including the competitive 'Capture the Maiden' map and 'Protect Your Power', where players must defend the Overlord's tower against waves of enemy attacks.

Putting minions through their toughest workout, the Overlord: Challenge Pack also introduces a "Legendary" difficulty mode, which challenges players to achieve Legendary status by using their most aggressive minion managing skills to complete the game under exceptional bad-ass circumstances.

Overlord: Split-Screen Multiplayer Pack - This free Overlord update will be available alongside the premium packs and will enable players to go head-to-head in an all-new split screen multiplayer mode. In addition to providing split screen play on all of the game's original multiplayer maps, the update will also introduce a new multiplayer map, Rocky Race, which sees a pair of Overlords working cooperatively to survive the onslaught of an arch rock giant on the rampage.

All three Overlord downloadable content packs require players to have the full version of the game for Xbox 360. PC Downloadable content is expected to be made available in the New Year. A special edition PC version of the original Overlord is being published as a boxed product exclusively for the German market, and will include all three downloadable content packs.

Overlord is available at retail outlets nationwide and is rated "T" (Teen - Blood and Gore, Crude Humor, Suggestive Themes, Use of Alcohol, Violence - content that may be suitable for persons ages 13 and older) by the ESRB. EA SPORTS NAMES MEMPHIS AND UCLA AS THE TOP RATED TEAMS

IN NCAA MARCH MADNESS 08

NCAA March Madness 08 Demo Available For Download in November

October 29, 2007 – EA SPORTS today named the University of Memphis Tigers, an NCAA Tournament Elite Eight finisher a year ago, the top rated team in NCAA March Madness 08. EA SPORTS named the Tigers No. 1 based on a computer-generated preseason poll from the NCAA March Madness 08 game engine that ranked the Tigers as the top team in NCAA Division I men’s basketball, followed by UCLA (2), Georgetown (3), North Carolina (4) and Kansas (5).

This year the development team at EA SPORTS worked with ESPN college basketball analyst Doug Gottlieb, research staff at ESPN and consulted college basketball coaches across the country to determine detailed ratings for every team in the game in order to create accurate ratings that deliver an authentic experience while playing NCAA March Madness 08.

“We worked more closely with Doug Gottlieb and ESPN this year to create ratings that we believe accurately reflect the college basketball landscape,” said NCAA March Madness 08 producer Sean O’Brien. “Combining our resources with the expertise of ESPN has helped us to deliver a more authentic experience while playing NCAA March Madness 08.”

The EA SPORTS Top 25 ignores current injuries to players and projects all players on all teams to be healthy and performing up to the expectations of the experts consulted when NCAA March Madness 08 ships to stores across the country December 11, 2007.

NCAA March Madness 08 creates new ways to play by challenging you to master the strategy and skills required to dominate down low with a new feature called Dynamic Post Play, and by replicating classic teams in college basketball history that make dream match-ups a reality. Featuring former University of Texas star Kevin Durant, the first college freshman to receive the Wooden Award and Naismith Trophy as the NCAA men’s basketball player of the year, in game and on its cover, NCAA March Madness 08 debuts on the PLAYSTATION 3 and will be available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2.

Fans will have the opportunity to download a demo of NCAA March Madness 08 for the PS3 at the PLAYSTATION Store and for the Xbox 360 from Xbox Live Marketplace November 19. This demo will feature No. 6 ranked Louisville against the No. 8 ranked Kentucky.

Hudson Reveals New Omega Five Character

Meet Ruby, Omega Five's lithe heroine

Hudson Entertainment today unveiled details and new screen shots of Ruby, a well-rounded warrior who's both nimble and deadly—if just a bit under-dressed. With a stockpile of awesome weapons and dangerous attacks, Ruby is a formidable foe.

Weapon Type A: Vulcan Laser Cannon –

Ruby’s initial weapon blasts enemies with rapid-fire laser beams. As the weapon is upgraded, the rate of fire increases, allowing her to unleash a non-stop barrage of laser fire.

Weapon Type B: Reflecting Laser Beam –

Ruby’s second weapon is a continuous laser beam that allows her to cut a swath of destruction through lesser enemies. Upgrades increase the power of the beam, splitting it in two, which also reflect off of certain surfaces. This lets Ruby attack enemies from around corners.

Weapon Type C: Lightning Gun –

Her final main weapon is a high-intensity lightning gun that roasts enemies. Upgrades increase the power, letting Ruby slice through enemies at will, as well as adding secondary lightning bolts that shoot out from the main beam at nearby enemies, doing incremental damage.

Alternate Attack –

Ruby has one alternate attack, which sends out a satellite that can instantly destroy lesser enemies or anchor onto stronger enemies. After the satellite latches onto an enemy, it deals damage and Ruby’s weapon auto-aims to that spot, giving her near-perfect accuracy until the enemy dies or the satellite detaches. Additionally, while the satellite is floating around Ruby, it can block enemy fire.

Temporal Dodge –

All characters can quickly teleport to another dimension for a brief time, allowing them to avoid enemy attacks, though at the expense of a small amount of life.

Ultimate Burst –

All characters can unleash an enormously destructive nuke-like attack, after having collected at least 100 p-chips (the pink triangles that appear after defeating enemies) to fill one p-jail (the golden triangles at the bottom left of the screen)

Title: “Omega Five”

Publisher: Hudson Entertainment

Developer: Natsume

Format: Digital download for Xbox LIVE® Arcade

ESRB Rating: E10+ (Fantasy Violence, Mild Suggestive Themes)

Availability: November 2007

Release Territories: Worldwide

About Omega Five:

Coming in November to Xbox Live Arcade, Omega Five is an all-new, original IP for Xbox LIVE® Arcade, with production values that rival those of a boxed retail product. The new trailer shows off the amazing visuals and action that players of Omega Five will experience when the product debuts.

Omega Five is the continuation Hudson’s three-part commitment to bringing premier content to download services for consoles: classic IP, original IP, and licensed IP. The gameplay follows the tradition of past side-scrolling shooters: as the screen scrolls from right to left, you move your character in two dimensions, either shooting or dodging enemies and their attacks. As you proceed, you can collect both weapon upgrades for your normal attacks and “chips” to power-up your special attacks.
